Unique penalty clause
Every contract issued by CS Lofts specifies the length of time the build will take in week, if the build exceeds this time we will deduct £500 per week from the price of the work.
This is a promise that we will complete the build in the agreed time, this protects you from companies that start work but then leave scaffolding up for a year before they complete.
Many companies say you are protected by stage payments but once they have secured the work they no longer have an incentive to complete as they know they can finish and get the final payment when it suits them.

No sub-contractors
A lot of the bigger loft conversion companies will send sales people to sell you the dream but once they have earned their commission you never see them again. These companies sub-contract the build to two guys on a price, meaning the quicker they complete the job, the more money they earn. This drives a vicious circle of over promising to get the sale and then doing the bare minimum to get paid.
At CS Lofts our teams are paid weekly, incentivising them to take their time and deliver the high quality workmanship we expect. Our owners Richard and Sam carry out every quote personally and then project manage all of the builds. We only purchase quality materials which are installed by professionals. A loft conversion is similar to a cake recipe – if the quality of your ingredients is not top notch, then your cake will not be either. That’s why

Every element of our service is under one roof. We will take care of every aspect of your project from planning to completion. Your site manager will liaise with roofers, window fitters, lead workers, plumbers and electrician, so that all you have to do is choose the décor.
Complimentary roof survey
A full, free roof survey is undertaken with every job. The aim of this is to identify any underlying problem with your roof, chimney or firewalls, which may need addressing. We will give you a full breakdown of anything that needs attention.We take the time
Your project is likely to take 6 to 10 weeks depending on its scale. We do not hang around, but neither are our teams under pressure to blitz through your project and get onto the next. You cannot rush when working on something as important as someone’s home. From carpenters to plasters, roofers, plumbers and electricians, all our tradesmen are fully qualified and highly experienced. All our staff are friendly, punctual and a pleasure to have in your home

We listen
We take the time to listen to what you need from your loft so we can get it just right. Some companies’ business model is to offer you loft A or loft B, leaving you with a conversion that looks like it has been bolted on as an afterthought. At CS Lofts, from our initial conversation, all the way through the planning process and our time on site, we listen to ensure we deliver your desired finish.Fixed price
We sign a contract with a fixed price. Once a price for your job has been agreed, that is it! We sign a contract with you guaranteeing the cost of the job. This will only change if you request additional work, or we discover a pre-existing issue that you ask us to resolve.
Sustainability
At CS Lofts we do all we can to reduce our carbon footprint and help make the planet greener. A large proportion of the materials in loft conversions are timber, this is why we plant 10 trees for every loft conversion we build. We work with eforests, who are one of the UK’s leading tree planting specialists.
Upon completion of works you will receive a personalised certificate with a unique reference number that can be used to locate where the trees have been plated, what species that are and view photos and maps of the location. Currently, we are the only loft conversion company doing this.
